A technical animation showing a method for removing contaminants from water. All assets were modeled and animated in Luxology's Modo. Initially render booleans were used to define the look of the cutaway. After they began to introduce render errors, I modeled the geometry to reflect the boolean design. Particle animation was used to control the bubbles and the balls that represent the contaminant. Flocking was used to force the part ices to clump together and dynamics to stop them from passing the screen.
