It's pronounced Zeh-zshoo. I met Zeju through my brother, when he came for Jason and Gifty's Wedding in 2006. I don't know why, when I know
people from literally all over the globe,
that Zeju seems so exotic to me. He hails from
Birmingham UK, which honestly is probably one of the more normal places to be from. At least if
you ask my friends from Burma or Thailand or Brazil it is. But, Zeju is my first real friend from the UK and that gives him sort of a special place in my
heart. The first time I met him I asked him what he did for a living and he told me he was a 'chicken deboner'. Nothing against line persons in chicken
deboning plants, but it didn't jive with the guy I was talking to. He was highly intelligent, very well dressed and well spoken. So I pressed him assuming he was pulling my proverbial leg. "Well, technically," he explained "I DO debone chickens, but I do it by writing software to control the robots that x-ray the birds during the process." That made a LOT more sense. And it set the tone for Zeju's sense of humor. He loves to laugh. He'll laugh with you, but he also does't mind laughing at you.
